Birla Temple and the Buddah in the Water

Today, after work, everyone gathered together to go see the Buddha in the water. It was a large monolithic Buddha statue approximately 18 m tall that was placed on an island in the middle of a lake in Hyderabad. We took a boat tour over to the island and walked around the statue a bit. I got some snapshots before heading out.

After this, we went to the Birla Temple. This is a large Hindu temple on a hill near the same lake. We had to take off our shoes lest we dirty the floor and we walked all around the place. The whole temple was made of marble. There were lots of carved statues and worship posts. I unfortunately couldn't take any pictures of the place because there were no cameras allowed inside.
