Monsoon Season in Goa

I have come to discover that the monsoon season really ruins the good time to be had in Goa. There are a lot of places that are simply closed until September when the weather gets better. It's okay though, since we have been finding enough fun things to do. We went out to a club last night called Tito's which was open and crowded. Unfortunately, it was the biggest sausage fest ever... and there is no sense of personal space so everyone is always bumping into you. On the second floor, they had a sanctuary for single women and couples to get away from the crazy males below.

When Liz and I were upstairs, we were excited to here that song California Love by Tupac... "California... knows how to party"... and we just had to start tearing up the dance floor with our western moves. Half way around the world and we can't get away from California.

Today, we got a ayurvedic massage for about an hour. It was really nice, but I think that I like the Thai style of massages better. The hands of the women doing my massage were really rough, so it was kind of annoying to have her massaging me.

Goa overall is a good place to come to once, but probably another time would be better here. Also, you can see northern Goa in a couple of nights and then you can find something else to do.

Tomorrow I am back to Hyderabad to do another week of work and Liz is staying here for yoga classes and general relaxation.
